Take a Class With Me!
My art classes are fun, fast-paced, intensive learning experiences. I hope you’ll join me.
As an instructor, I take an intellectual and self-analytical approach to art making, empowering my students and clients to create their own unique work. You won’t copy what I do. You’ll learn how to analyze WHY and HOW, so that you can get the results you want long after class is over.

Student Feedback
"I just took an AMAZING in-person class with Julie. She designed the projects so we would not only have guidance and direction, but also have freedom to explore what interested us. it was so much fun, and left me with so so so many ideas to chase. Thank you so much, Julie!" -- Florence
"The mixed media collage week was absolutely enjoyable in every way! It was beautifully constructed to challenge me every day, though not overwhelm, and to help me get to the end point without any mad scrambling. It was a delight learning with the other participants who all had so much to contribute. Most of all, Julie listens very well and gives feedback and instruction that is so insightful and relevant. It's just the right push at just the right time and in just the right direction. I don't know how she manages to do it so well all the time!" - Karen
"Julie paces the class so new techniques are broken down into achievable parts. The classes are filled with techniques so your end product is unique rather than a cookie cutter copy. Your individual style shines through. I like how she has students gather together at the end to share our work." -- Nancy
"Julie’s talent as a teacher together with her experience as an artist and commitment to her students results in an awesome experience time after time!" - Mary Jane
"The Advanced Collage class was terrific. As always, Julie packs so much into a class. I always learn things I didn’t know both about techniques, process, and equally as important, about myself as an artist." -Robin
"Printmaker’s Party was an exceptional experience. Julie taught multiple techniques throughout each day with time to practice and answer any questions. Her knowledge and ability to make challenging ideas accessible is exceptional. I was able to adapt the techniques into my own style. In addition to Julie’s insight and knowledge, learning from other classmates was also beneficial. Julie provided all the supplies necessary for class which made traveling to a class simple. The food for breakfast and lunch was delicious and gave me time to sit with other students and get to know them. Thanks Julie!" - Sally
